- Why check suspension before an alignment?
- An alignment only holds if the parts holding your wheels are tight. A worn control arm or tie rod will pull the alignment right back out, so we inspect first.
- Do I need new tires or just an alignment?
- We measure tread depth at all four corners and look at how the tires are wearing. Tires worn low across the tread need replacing. Wear on one edge points to alignment or suspension, and fixing that first protects the new tires. You get the measurements and photos on your phone.
- Should I get an alignment with new tires?
- If the old tires wore unevenly, yes. An alignment is what lets new tires wear evenly instead of repeating the old pattern. We check the suspension and steering first so the alignment holds.
- Do you sell tires?
- Yes. We can quote more than one option, from a dependable everyday tire up to premium all-weather tires, so you choose what fits how and where you drive.
- My car pulls to one side. Is that always alignment?
- Not always. A pull can come from alignment, uneven tire pressure, a tire problem, or a brake that is dragging. We check each one so you are not paying for an alignment that does not fix the pull.
- What warranty comes with new tires?
- New tires carry the tire manufacturer's warranty, which covers defects and, on many tires, a treadwear mileage rating. Like every manufacturer warranty, it does not cover road hazards such as nails, glass, or potholes. Our 36 month / 36,000 mile repair warranty covers repairs, not tires. We go over the manufacturer's warranty for the tire you pick before you buy.
